Happy 8th Birthday Addison!

Addison is eight today! Hard to believe. The words to a few popular songs come to mind...."Don't Blink" "You're Gonna Miss This" and "Cinderella" all flood my thoughts! Addison has been such a pleasure to raise! Her temperment is quiet, unassuming and yet she is hilarious and so loving! She's our peacemaker for sure. Loves everyone to be happy and willingly sacrifices often to make that happen. Her laughter is absolutely contageous. There's just no way you cannot crack up hearing her laugh. She's just easy to be around and fun! Yesterday we got to celebrate her birth and her life! I'm so thankful for Addison. She really is a gift from God.

Today is actually her true birthday but poor Addison was born in baseball season : ) We took her straight to the ballpark from the hospital 8 years ago to watch one of Hunter's games - we kept her in the van w/ the air on -it is hot in Oklahoma in June! Anyway, she's pretty much spent every birthday since at the ballpark and tonight will be no different. Doubleheader no less! However, she had a fun day yesterday in celebration. We swam a bit at Uncle Shawns and she wanted to go out to Chili's for dinner. So we did and that was fun. She'd wanted the chocolate milkshake like Ky got for her birthday but didn't want to endure the Chili's crew singing to her so she passed. To say Addison does not like attention drawn to her is a huge understatement. She likes to fly under the radar.

Mimi, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, The Silvers and us all celebrated with her! The family party was full of good times! She loves video games. She got some new Wii games, a new DS and some games and she'd wanted waterguns. She has a whole arsenol! It soon turned into a watergun war between all the kids (think some adults too) and it was so fun to see them running around and laughing - good times with a simple watergun. Her picture blowing out her candles in funny ~ Her hair is soaked and her face is red - as Kelsey said....this will be the birthday we remember having watergun fights! For sure! These are the good times!!
