Easter weekend was really nice around here. All my little chicks were in the nest and we had a nice, peaceful family weekend. Overall. ; 0 There were life moments thrown in here and there, but I've captured some of the highlights and the weekend was certainly a good one.
The girls made my grandma's homemade noodles in preparation for our family dinner on Easter.
I boiled 2 1/2 dozen eggs to be dyed later
One broke. 29 didn't.
Last year I discovered using Kool-Aid to color the eggs. It makes such pretty colors.

We got hungry so we did something that thrills me! We live 20'ish minutes from any town with restaurants, but about 2 months ago we got a Simple Simon's just 3 miles away! We ordered a couple of pizzas and took a break from dying eggs to eat.
Simple pleasures are the best!
Sunday nights are our official family dinner night but for Easter we also asked Rick's mom to come join us for dinner.
We had turkey, homemade noodles, sweet potato casserole, broccoli and rice casserole and green beans! Mom made Arkansas Chocolate Cake for dessert and then we watched The Bible Finale.

Preslie was trying to break a confetti egg on Hunter. It did not go as planned and the egg never did do what it was intended but she had fun trying!
After dinner we headed outside to hide eggs for Preslie and Addison! So glad for big sisters who hunt eggs with the baby child!
