We are enjoying enduring 100+ temperatures. Fortunately, the day we needed to haul hay it was an overcast day of the lower 90's! It was still hot but it was also a fun day with my litte family! Lots of hard work, some laughs, some new things learned and a few glimpses of God along the way.

This girl of mine is tough! She never just sits on the sidelines! She is always working hard and getting things done! She worked the entire day hauling those huge hay bales around on the trailer getting them where they belonged! Never complained or quit!
This makes men out of boys! Hard days work!

Loading the barn full of hay for the winter! It may not feel like winter now but one day it will be and when it arrives, we'll be ready and have a storehouse full for the horses! Proverbs tell us, "The sluggard does not plow after the autumn, So he begs during the harvest and has nothing."

Loved seeing new life and the protection the mama bird provided for her babies. Even though that trailer was jostled and driven all around the pastures for several hours and large, heavy bales of hay were tossed on it, the nest remained unshaken. The birds were not afraid or worried. They survived the 'storm' and came out unscathed. How often I need to be reminded that Jesus has me safely in His hands. He has protection and provisions for me and I don't need to be afraid or worried! He cares for the birds of the air - how much more He cares for me.
So many lessons to be learned from a nest of birds! This was just one of them!
