This Might Be My Future Favorite Place

It's looking like an almost real kitchen! The cabinets got installed (is that the word?!) this week. The trim carpenters are busy. They will be adding trim to them as well as adding the molding throughout the house. We've been designing closets and make window trim decisions. Who knew there were so many decisions regarding wood.

 One day these cabinets will be stained and the granite will be added. This kitchen is dreamy. I cannot wait to  bake, cook meals for my family, have big family dinners, celebrate birthdays, visit with the kids while they eat at the island, roll out noodles with my girls and my mom for Thanksgiving and so many more things! Even, yes even, washing dishes while looking out the window into the beautiful countryside will be amazing. So many great times will be in this kitchen -

 it is afterall the gathering place of the home.

This obviously is not the kitchen but this might be my future 2nd favorite place in the house. This baby is HUGE! This is the entry and it turns to the right. One day, all 7 of us stood in there with plenty of room to spare! Not sure there will ever be a need for us to all be in there but maybe it could serve as a 'fraidy hole' in big storms!?!
