RIck and I took two of the girls to the pumpkin patch in Independence. But, along the way, we stopped by the Little House on the Prairie. Always a fun blast from the past. Reminding each of us how far we've come and how not that long ago life looked very different.
Addison and Preslie standing in front of the Little House. As a pre-teen, I read every book that Laura Ingalls wrote. It's fun to see a little glimpse of how they really lived in the 1800's. We decided that peple must have been much shorter in those days! Addison had to stoop down to get inside the front door.
This tiny house was home to a family of 5. Togetherness at a whole new level.
Inside the school room.
Needless to say, the rules sure have changed. Not for the better, IMO.
