Birthdays Continued

We kick off April celebrating moms birthday! Eighty-two this year. Mid-month we celebrate Kyleigh, followed by me and then close out the month with Shawn. Lots of cake and ice cream. Extra efforts to make sure no one is overlooked even if we celebrate together, because I happen to think birthdays should be extra special for everyone. 

In going through some pictures, I came across this treasure. This was in 1999 and we all three celebrated together this year. I was 33, Kyleigh was 2 and Shawn was 39. In some ways it seems a lifetime ago. We thought it would be fun(ny) to recreate this little blast from the past!

Saturday night we celebrated Shawn's birthday with family dinner. Preslie and I made our very first ever angel food cake. It was actually not bad. Did you know there are 15 egg whites in an angel food cake? Zero chocolate. Weird. Anyway, it was a fun month and as always, I'm sure grateful for each year and a wonderful bunch of family to celebrate with too!
